Psalms 27:14 In the land of the living Wait for the Lord; Be strong, and let your heart take courage.
Today my family leaves for Columbus, Ohio. If you are part of the volleyball world, you know what a ride they are in for. So the above verse is for them. I am staying home because of treatment. There is no way we would want to disrupt my treatments at a time like this. So I need this verse too, I am going to miss out on all of the end of the year fun. We have a great group of girls and the parents are outstanding. I truly think it is one trip that this group of parents will remember for a long time. I need the strength to get through missing out on that. My Mom is here though and we are going to have a “chicks week” We had four kids in our family so I never got to do this with just my Mom. So, now my Mom and I get to have one! We get to make a memory. I am really looking forward to it!
Psalms 30; 5 Weeping may last for the night, But a shout of joy comes in the morning
Patti,
Good morning! I’m sorry that you’re having to miss out on the Ohio trip, but I know you’ll get through this and have a wonderful weekend with your mom.
So, yesterday, I set my phone alarm to go off at 3:44 so that I could go into prayer mOde for you. I was driving on the 10 when it went off. I had forgotten to adjust the tone, so the loud, scary fire alarm caught me off guard and I almost swerved off the road. Sheesh! I have admit that I have the attention span of a gnat, but for you, I’m staying as focused as I can. It’s a good thing that I’m not a nun who had to take a vow of silence and whose job was to pray for hours at a time. I’d be a ‘failing nun’! God be with you today! You have courage! Love you, Sharon
Hi Patti! May the volleyball team have great success & safety. And may this special time with your Mom bring you precious moments to sustain you while your family is in Ohio. You are doing great & we continue to keep you close to our hearts.
“Keep me as the apple of Your eye; hide me in the shadow of your wings.”
